King rarely disappoints but king movies almost always do. This one did not. I'd just quickly like to point out how sad this movie made me feel. I felt sad for Danny trying to get his life together, I felt sad when I learned why they called him doctor sleep, I felt really sad near the end. I don't think I've ever had a horror-esque movie pull at my heart the same way. Granted it was more on the drama side for the majority of the movie.
The actual horror was maybe the last 30-45 minutes of this monstrously long 3 hour movie.
Abra Stone. Abra freaking Stone.
What a wonderfully creepy and magical little girl she is. There was so many scenes that I was just awestruck at her abilities. I mean, she had to be one of the most powerful psychics I've ever seen at that age. She's even stronger than Danny I think.
Overall, this movie was fantastic through and through. Something that just about anyone can enjoy. I thoroughly recommend this movie to everyone.
